Fall is in the air…or maybe it's just smoke from all the forest fires! We have little to complain about weather-wise in our neck of the woods. With our prayers and financial assistance, let us continue to support those who are dealing with the many natural disasters of hurricanes, floods, tornadoes and fires. With a grateful and humble heart, here are some of the pro-life happenings in the Grand Valley.
Grand Valley Life Chain
Date: Sunday, October 1st
Time: 1:30-2:00 pm (devotional time); 2:00-3:00 pm (silent prayer along 12th and North).
Ice cream social to follow.
Location: Messiah Lutheran Church (840 N. 11th St.)
This event joins people from across North America to pray for God's mercy and to remember the millions of unborn children who have perished by abortion.
The Billboard Campaign still grabs the attention of Mesa County drivers. MCRTL partners with Pro-Life Across America to place beautiful, pro-life billboards at various locations in Mesa County. These billboards are a visible reminder of the dignity of human life displayed in the innocence and beauty of an infant child.

What: An essay contest to highlight the honor and dignity of all human life.
Who: Three Age Categories
- Grades 5 to 8
- Grades 9 and 10
Grades 11 and 12
Prompt: Defend this quote by St. Teresa of Calcutta - "The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion, because it is a war against a child."
Length: 500 words or less
Submission: Email essays to email@example.com or mail to MCRTL, PO Box 96, Loma, CO 81524. Include name, age, grade, home address, phone number, school and email address. Submission deadline – December 31, 2017
Prizes: A $100 first prize and a $50 second prize will be awarded in each age group.
Save the date for the Grand Valley Walk for Life. This annual event will take place on Saturday, January 20th at 12:00 noon. We will gather at the Old County Courthouse for a pro-life rally before walking through the streets of downtown Grand Junction to remember the many victims of abortion and to pray for healing in our nation.
